StudyXpress - Innovative and Traditional Vocational Learning

Our History

Since its inception StudyXpress has built up a diverse portfolio of successful training projects.

These include:

Department of Work and Pensions New Deal Contracts
From 2004 until 2009 we delivered DWP contracts as part of the New Deal to the unemployed, both age groups 18-24 and 25+. These contracts were qualification based and gave unemployed people the chance to work towards a nationally recognised qualification in either Construction or Motor Vehicle Maintenance. They also focused heavily on supporting jobseekers to find work and support them in the job search. These contracts were held in Hampshire, London, Croydon and Hastings.

Southampton Probation Service OLASS Contract
In 2005, 2006 and 2007 we supported the Southampton Probation service by delivering a Construction course as part of their OLASS project. This 13 week programme enabled ex offenders to work towards a City and Guilds qualification and a recent and relevant character reference.

Hampshire, Sussex and Berkshire School Programme
For two years in 2006 and 2007 we supported 14 schools across Hampshire, Sussex and Berkshire to deliver vocational training to year 10 and 11 students as an alternative to classroom based GSCE subjects. We offered students the opportunity to study either Construction, Hair Dressing or Motor Vehicle Maintenance at one of specialist Vocational Skills Centres and gain a Level 1 qualification in their chosen subject.

Private Construction Qualifications
StudyXpress offered individuals an alternative to college and offered a wide range of construction skills and qualifications that could be delivered to suit the needs of the learner.
