May 2007 - StudyXpress (SX) Training System Release.
The newest version of the very successful SX Training system has now been released (30.05.2007), this new update (v2.28) now includes (amongst others):

  • the hashing of passwords using a much more secure method
  • ability for Tutors to see All Student Notes
  • Replacement of Assignments within Admin
  • Visible tally of the number of places left on a programme within Admin
  • also, the fixing of a few reported Issues.


  • October 2006 - StudyXpress (SX) Wins a Second Systems Contract with Lola.
    SX has just won a new contract with ‘Lola International’ to enable the Internal IT Department to Create and edit an intranet, with full publishing and editing rights and with all the functionality of a standard website, including the following:

  • Scrolling Marquees
  • Clickable Links/Emails
  • Full File Linking functionality
  • Image/News Archive Functionality
  • Internal Department/Employee Contacts List - Linking with the existing HR system
  • and many other website functionality built in as standard.


  • This System will be a joint-project and will be done over several months, with Lola themselves handling the testing of the system. Phase One is now underway and we are hoping for a final test date in Mid 2007.

    June 2006 - StudyXpress (SX) to Open 5 New Centres.
    New Centres soon to be opening in the following regions:

  • Birmingham
  • Brighton
  • Southampton
  • Bordon
  • Fareham


  • These centres are dedicated to the 14-16 government agenda, to train year 10 and 11 school pupils in vocational areas. Each centre will deliver a range of curriculum based on demand, initially the centres will concentrate on Hair and Beauty, construction and Motor Vehicle. Qualifications vary according to the vocational discipline but all are level 1 NVQ’s or equivalent, leading to a level 2 qualification, or equivalent.

    May 2006 - StudyXpress (SX) Win New Contract with Wimpey.
    SX Contracting (part of the StudXpress Group) has won a new contract with ‘Wimpey House Builders’ to tile new houses in the Southern region.

    April 2006 - StudyXpress (SX) Training System Release.
    The newest version of the very successful SX Training system has now been released (03.04.2006), this new update (v2.27) now includes (amongst others) the ability to mark internal assessments over the internet.

    January 2006 - New Training Centre in Brighton.
    Brighton construction centre has been opened on the 5th January 2006, operating as partners with 'Equal' and 'Brighton & Hove College', our target is 300+ learners within 18 months, undertaking a BTEC Construction Qualification.

    Painting and Decorating is to be added to the portfolio of construction trades skills being offered at all centres.

    Plans for the Bordon vocational centre are moving forward and it is due to open in late August 2006, offering both Construction training and Hair/Beauty to 14/16 year olds as part of the government new vocational agenda for schools. Eight schools are supporting the initiative.

    Plans are at the early stages of development to open a centre with the support of Southampton City Council in Southampton,it is envisaged that this centre will offer a range of curriculum to 14/16 year olds plus other interested groups.

    StudyXpress is working closely with several Education Business Partners and LSC's to develop into additional regions in 2006/7.

    StudyXpress has now starting enrolling students onto its NEW Online only Retail Course.

    StudyXpress has released Phase 2 of its HR System at Lola International in Huntingdon.
    July 2005 - Contract Win
    Studyxpress is undertaking both theory training to assist would be lorry drivers to successfully secure their theory test and from mid August will be delivering practical training for license aquistion.

    As part of the Studyxpress commitment to quality we have linked up with Driver Hire who are the largest driver only specialist employment agency who have guarenteed those who successfully come through the Studyxpress training route an interview .

    More good news on the Construction training front is that the 100th learner has just enrolled on the soon to be accredited Intermediate Construction Award.
    May 2005 - Reaching Further
    Expansion has taken place geographically, with a new center established in three Bridges Crawley, initially to cater for the ever increasing need for qualified Lorry drivers but also to deliver Construction training, later in 2005. Latest developments has been the introduction of Forklift truck training to compliment LGV and the near completion and validation of two new programmes by Edexcel.Driving a Goods Vehicle and Intermediate Certificate and Diploma in General Construction.

    The companies unique online learning packages for Construction, LGV, and Retail have also been praised by several organisation including Training providers and Colleges.
    March 2005 - Training Moves to New Centre in Fareham.
    As a result of the overwhelming demand for the companies construction trades training services, Studyxpress has moved into a new purpose built industrial unit of almost 6000sq ft on the fringes of Fareham ideally located between Portsmouth and Southampton. We had intended in remaining in this unit for up to three years however in the last two months, two other major training providers have requested we tailor specific courses to their client group needs, although we can accommodate there requests, it would seem that if expansion continues, Studyxpress will soon require additional accommodation to cater for demand.
    February 2005 - First Contract win.
    SX has won a major contract to deliver General Construction BTEC level 2 courses for Bennington training. Bennington Training manages Job Centre contracts and in particular NewDeal schemes. Through Benningtons SX will be training students ages 18-60 in General Construction, a unique aspect of the training is for the first time students will be able to attain a nationally recognised qualification within the time requirements of the job centre contract.
    January 2005 - StudyXpress (SX) Training Centre in Fareham opens.
    SX opens training centre in Fareham. Initially the centre will be offering courses in General Construction and Logistics (LGV). The centre will be an accredited NVQ centre and will be delivering both BTEC and NVQ qualifications. As well as offering trade based courses, SX will be able to deliver internet based training on a wide variety of subjects.
